Austin, TX (June 12th, 2019) – Waldo Photos, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered photo-finding platform based in Austin, TX, continues to add key team members to its already all-star lineup. Combining AI with real-time mobile delivery, Waldo is changing the way photos are discovered, delivered, and purchased. Waldo removes all the friction in getting photos of you and loved ones taken by others and helps camps, schools, youth sports leagues, resorts, event promoters, and photographers get more value out of their photography. Combining proprietary facial and object recognition technologies, GPS, and real-time cloud-based delivery with the convenience of a text-based interface, Waldo enables photos to flow seamlessly from the photographer to the photographed.
Our most recent addition, Joshua Bowden, will serve as the Vice President of Sales, and will be responsible for the planned hyper-growth of our sales team. He previously served as the Vice President of Org Solutions at Stack Sports, overseeing five different revenue channels across four markets in the US & Canada. Josh has spent the last 13 years in the technology start-up landscape, hiring and growing teams. Prior to Stack, he served as the Director of Sales for both CaptainU (a cloud based platform that connects youth athletes with Collegiate Coaches) and ShareRoot (a global player in the marketing data and privacy protection ecosystem). Throughout his career Josh has been a champion for focusing on two specific things in order to create winning teams - a clear vision combined with an executable process.
On joining Waldo, “I could not be more excited to join this team and continue to build upon the current foundation of success. Photography has always been a part of my life - from my first photography class in 6th grade where I made a camera from a Folgers coffee can to snapping over 75,000 pics with my DSLR while vagabonding with my wife for nearly two years. Imagery, when captured and shared, can transform and transport us to any time and any place. Our ambition at Waldo is to completely remove the friction of sharing those beautifully captured human moments by simply, and instantly, delivering them to those that matter most....be that a parent, spouse, relative, friend or teammate”.
“I couldn’t be more excited to have Josh join the team and to head our sales efforts. His passion for building and managing world class sales teams combined with his wealth of experience in youth sports and his connection to Waldo’s mission of helping families Live the Moment makes him a perfect fit," said Rodney Rice, CEO of Waldo Photos.
Josh joins the leadership team headed by CEO Rodney Rice who prior to founding Waldo Photos took HomeAdvisor (formerly ServiceMagic) from a concept to a highly profitable business employing more than 1,200 people and generating over $250M in revenue.
