Waldo Raises $5 Million For A Photo-Finding Platform Targeting Professional Photographers & Events

Austin-based startup Waldo Photos has raised $5 million in seed funding from Upfront Ventures, who led with $4 million in the new round. Waldo Photos uses facial, object and pattern recognition to match photos taken at events with individuals and sends the photo directly to their phone. The company is focused on working with professional photographers at events like concerts and games, with the aim of reducing friction involved in claiming photos.
